Vic: Vic blames Howard govt for GP shortage

MELBOURNE, Feb 20 AAP - Victorian Health Minister Daniel Andrews says the state's GP
shortage is a result of the Howard government's failure to invest in undergraduate medical
places.

Mr Andrews today said that over 11.5 years the previous federal government had not
addressed the primary care staffing needs for the state.

"What's important is we have a partnership and we work with the commonwealth," Mr Andrews said.
